Perfect dinner last night, as predicted. I made zucchini and pasta with oregano to go with my tomato slices, avocado, and oh course pane!! I was such a happy camper.

After dinner Sara, Tom, Aven, and Michael came over for drinks before we went out to meet with Claudio. On the bus to our meeting point Claudio and more girls from our program got on! Everyone was running on the same schedule! So we got off in termini and walked to San Lorenzo which is a wide street with several bars and pizzerias but the crowds of people just flow out into the street because there is no space inside the stores and the sidewalks are so narrow. It's just mobs of twenty-somethings relaxed, hanging out, having a good time. My roomies have been before with Claudio and they said everyone buys a drink then sits on the ground and hangs out! A couple people got beverages while we waited for Marco and Mattia to show up. Once they arrived we lingered for a little bit longer and then headed to Animal Social Club. I really liked this place because there was a little bit of space outdoors to sit (or smoke if you're Italian), there was a large dancefloor with a decent DJ, there was a separate room with couches and foosball and a big bar and then a small upper deck area (might have been VIP). I really liked that there was lots of space and I didn't have to spend my entire night on the dancefloor. Also it was a good price to get in. Our big group split up into little groups of 3 or 4 and we all went off and had fun. I hung around with Kat and Marco most of the night, and then later Sara, Tom, Kat and I were all getting tired so we said our goodbyes and called a cab. I forgot how Italians drive!!!! That was the speediest cab ride with the sharpest turns! Pazzi Italiani!! Thankfully our apartment is really easy for cabbies to find. We all tumbled out of the cab and walked home, but it was once again an Italian night meaning late late late. Pictures will come.

I am proud I woke up when it was still considered morning today! I got up around 9 and messed around online and read for a couple hours then slipped back into nap mode for a while. When we were all up I whipped up some broccoli and grilled cheese for my brunch. Then Kat wanted to go get Fillippo's pizza, and who can resist that!? So I had a slice of zucchini pizza for dessert! Yum! Tom and Aven came over and we're trying to plan out Napoli for this coming Friday and Florence for the second weekend in Oct. I'm very excited to see Giotto's bell tower and the baptistery!! Nico, Sophia, and Sara are all at a wine festival just North of Rome today and Ginny is out on site for her archaeology internship. Who knows what the evening will bring, tomorrow I only have three short classes and no field studies. TTFN ta-ta-for-now!
